Microsoft Flow is a new cloud-hosted service, created for the automation of business operations and day-to-day activities across user apps and services, including Dynamics 365, Office 365, Dropbox, Slack and many others.

The application has been tested and approved in the Public Preview Community by 117,000 users across 61,000 organisations in 139 countries. The feedback from preview members contributed to the constant improvement and optimisation of the service. On Monday, October 31, Microsoft officially announced Flow General Availability. Now, Microsoft offers support for your business processes in 42 languages across 6 regions.

Control your organisation’s Flows with Microsoft Flow Admin Centre

Recently Microsoft introduced another feature for Flow – Environments – a geo-specific space for storing and managing your organisation’s flows. When creating an Environment you can choose the location where you want the flows and business data to be available. Microsoft currently offers the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Australia, India and Japan as regions.

With Microsoft Flow Admin Centre you can take complete control of the creation and management of the environments inside your organisation. This is a centralised management console, which enables administrators to set-up data loss prevention policies and take control of data flows.

Microsoft Flow as a mobile solution

Microsoft Flow application is now available for Android devices as well as for iPhone. The app allows users to rapidly and easily build flows on the go. With pre-defined templates and galleries, a few simple clicks and the work is done.

Microsoft Flow enriches Office 365 and Dynamics 365

Microsoft Flow runs alongside Office 365 and Dynamics 365, providing an adaptable platform which allows customers to create purpose-built solutions for their industries.

Complex processes can be built and orchestrated, for example, a new lead in Dynamics 365 for Sales can trigger a flow automatically and add it immediately to SharePoint, as well as add information to Dynamics 365 for Operationsor Dynamics 365 for Financials.

Microsoft have announced that now every SharePoint Online user can take advantage of Microsoft Flow for accessing SharePoint, pull together data from many sources, change and move information inside a system as well as to transform it from outside. Microsoft promises that in the coming months new capabilities will be added, so the users will be able to manage any flow for a particular document or item on a list.

Microsoft Flow enriches Office 365 and Dynamics 365

New services are being added every week to Office 365 and Dynamics 365 to make it a powerful and compelling, but user-friendly solution. This month third-party services were added, including Pinterest, Campfire, Bit.ly, Cognitive Services Text Analytics and Instapaper. Microsoft Flow is customised for working with on-premises data in SharePoint Service or SQL Service.

Build your workflows faster than ever

The feature which makes Microsoft Flow so competitive is that you can take data from any source and use it in any of your workflows. Finding the content is even easier now after Microsoft added a special search bar which enables a user to search the dynamic content from all the steps in the flow.
