About the service
A live Dynamics 365 gradually accumulates extensions, data, and integrations over time, while performance, security, and cost deteriorate gradually and imperceptibly. Usually this only becomes visible at a failure, an audit, or a failed update.
An environment audit gives you an independent picture of the system's state. We examine performance, security, extensions, data, integrations, update readiness, and licences, based on telemetry and Microsoft tools rather than on the team's opinions. We finish with a prioritised list of recommendations and an improvement plan, on the basis of which you can act before a problem surfaces.
A working system does not mean a healthy system. Problems build up gradually and imperceptibly.
An ERP that works correctly at first glance can hide growing costs, risks, and technical debt. Without a periodic diagnosis, they surface at the worst possible moment.
- Performance drops over time. Slow processes, long batch jobs, and an overloaded database lower productivity, and the cause often stays unrecognised.
- Permissions lose consistency. Excessive roles, a lack of segregation of duties, and out-of-date access increase the risk of abuse and non-compliance.
- Technical debt in the extensions. Over-layering, that is, overwriting the standard code, and ad hoc modifications make every update harder and more expensive.
- An environment not ready for updates. When the system is more than one version behind, the next One Version wave carries a risk of regression.
- Integrations based on retired mechanisms. Connections built on solutions Microsoft no longer develops fail or burden the production environment.
- Cost that no one controls. Excess licences and growing data raise the bill, and no one verifies it.

Seven areas we check
Performance
We measure process times, batch jobs, database load, and X++ code, drawing on telemetry and the Optimization advisor.
Security and permissions
We check roles, segregation of duties, excessive access, and readiness for an external audit.
Extensions and technical debt
We determine whether the system was extended in the extensions model or through over-layering, and how that affects the cost of updates.
Data
We assess data quality, growth rate, archiving and retention rules, and use of the available space.
Integrations
We check the health of connections and the choice of patterns, including any relying on retired mechanisms like Export to Data Lake.
Update readiness (One Version)
We determine how many versions behind the system is, how ready it is for the next waves, and where the regression risk lies.
Licenses and cost
We compare assigned licenses with actual usage and review the cost of infrastructure and data storage.

What you gain after the audit
- You know the system's state from an external assessment. We base the health picture on telemetry, not on declarations from the people who maintain the system.
- You know where to start. The recommendations have priorities and an effort estimate, so the fixes can be laid out on a budget and a calendar.
- Updates stop surprising you. You know the regression risk before the next One Version wave, not after it.
- Users get time back. We point to the processes and batch jobs that take longest, and the causes that can be removed.
- Permissions can be demonstrated to an audit. Roles and access are ordered and described, so a question about segregation of duties does not cause a scramble.
- You pay for what you actually use. Excess licences, unused data, and oversized infrastructure are named with numbers.
Products that help us drive change
We audit the finance and operations applications, that is, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, based on Microsoft data and tools: built-in telemetry, monitoring in Application Insights, and the Optimization advisor. The findings feed directly into remedial work, covering updates, extensions, and license optimisation.

Proven performance, reliable results
- We base findings on data, not opinions. We reach for telemetry, Application Insights, and the Optimization advisor so that the assessment of the system's state can be verified.
- We do not disrupt production work. We use telemetry built into the platform, and involve your team only where we need context.
- We confirm findings with your team. Before something becomes a recommendation, we check that we read the data in line with how your process works.
- We order priorities by impact and urgency. We separate fixes that pay off right away from changes that need a separate project.

Why entrust the environment audit to us
- We specialise in Dynamics 365. We know the finance and operations applications from the performance, security, and code side, not just the functional side.
- We base findings on data. We reach for telemetry and Microsoft tools, so every assessment can be traced to a specific measurement.
- We know environments that had to be rescued. We have run remedial work on systems long without updates, so we know where the problems no one has named before usually lie.
- The audit ends with action, if you want it. The recommendations lead directly to remedial work, but the report stays with you regardless of what you decide.
- We work in Poland and the United Kingdom. We handle Polish compliance, including KSeF and JPK, and at the same time run implementations spanning multiple countries.
From the initial consultation to a fully operational system
Switching systems doesn't have to mean chaos. We guide you through five steps so that at every stage, it’s clear what is happening, why, and what the next step will be.
Discovery call
Free consultation: we learn about your situation, goals, and constraints. No strings attached and no sales pitch.
Analysis and recommendation
We map processes and requirements, assess platform fit, and recommend the scope, path, and approach.
Plan and decision
Schedule, budget, roles, and decision gates. You make project decisions based on facts, not assumptions.
Phased implementation
We implement step-by-step, with testing, risk control, and reviews at every milestone.
Stabilization and support
Launch with a contingency plan, post-launch support, and transition to ongoing maintenance.

Check the system's health before a problem surfaces
We examine seven areas, from performance to licences, based on telemetry and Microsoft tools. We finish with prioritised recommendations and an improvement plan. The report is independent, so nothing commits you to further work with us.

What you get at the end of the audit
The audit ends with material on the basis of which you decide what to fix first and with whose help.
A report with findings
A description of what works well, what needs improvement, and what threatens a failure or a blocked update.
Risk assessment
Each of the seven areas assessed separately, based on telemetry data, not declarations.
Prioritised recommendations
Ordered by impact and urgency, each with an estimate of the effort involved.
An improvement plan
Actions split into those that pay off right away and those that need a separate project.
A presentation of the results
We discuss the report with your team and agree what happens next.
The report's independence
You can carry out the recommendations yourself, with us, or with any other partner.

Frequently asked questions about the Dynamics 365 environment audit
How does an environment audit differ from a pre-implementation audit?
An environment audit assesses a system that is already in operation: its health and room for improvement. We run a pre-implementation audit before an implementation or migration, when the system does not yet exist.
Will the audit disrupt how the system runs?
No. We rely mainly on telemetry built into the platform and on Microsoft data and tools. We involve your team only where we need context, and the analysis itself does not put load on the production environment.
What do we get at the end?
A report with findings and a risk assessment, prioritised recommendations, and an improvement plan split into actions that pay off right away and changes that need a separate project.
Does the audit commit us to remediation work with ANEGIS?
No. The report is independent, and you can carry out the recommendations yourself, with us, or with any other partner.
How often is it worth repeating the audit?
A periodic health review is good practice, for example once a year, and beyond that before major changes and before the most important updates.
