About the service
The decision to implement or migrate an ERP means a large budget and large risk. Projects overrun cost or scope most often because they start without a thorough assessment.
A pre-implementation audit gives you that assessment. We map your processes and requirements, compare them with the capabilities of Dynamics 365 (fit-gap), and finish with a recommendation: what to implement, in which option, at what cost, and with what risk. You get a document you can base a decision on, before you sign an implementation contract.
The most expensive mistakes in an ERP project are made before anyone touches the system.
The success of an implementation is decided by early decisions: scope, fit, and a budget based on effort. Without an assessment they are made on assumptions, and the cost of a mistake grows with every further stage.
- A blurry scope from the start. Without a map of processes and requirements, the project expands along the way, and changes made on the fly raise cost.
- Hidden requirements and gaps. What the standard does not cover only surfaces during the implementation, when a change costs the most.
- Budget and schedule estimated roughly. Estimates without an assessment of effort lead to overruns and tension in the team.
- Choosing a path without a basis. A fresh implementation, a migration, and an upgrade are three different projects, and a decision without analysis can be costly.
- Risk visible only once it materialises. Problems with data, integrations, or extensions surface at the worst possible moment.
- A purchase decision under vendor pressure. Without your own assessment, it is hard to judge an offer and the proposed scope.

What we check before an implementation
Business processes
We map the key processes and requirements in the areas the system is to cover.
Fit to Dynamics 365 (fit-gap)
We determine what the standard covers and what needs extensions, integrations, or ready-made solutions.
Data and systems
We check the state of the data to be migrated and the systems Dynamics 365 needs to connect to.
Source environment
For a migration, we check the version, extensions, and obstacles that could stall the project, for example when moving off Dynamics AX.
Implementation path and option
We settle whether it is a fresh implementation, a migration, or an upgrade, and whether the system runs in the cloud or on-premises.
Licenses
We make an initial choice of licensing model and estimate how many Dynamics 365 licenses you need to start.
Risk
We flag technical, organisational, and data-side risks and assess which could affect the schedule.

What you enter the project with
- You know what you are agreeing to. The scope, path, and cost estimate are written down before you commit the budget.
- Surprises surface before the start, not halfway through the project. You know the gaps in the standard and the obstacles in the source environment when a change costs the least.
- The estimates have something to stand on. The budget and schedule follow from calculated effort, not from assumptions made at the start.
- You talk to the vendor with your own numbers. You judge the offer and the proposed scope on the basis of what you established yourselves.
- The implementation does not start with defining the scope. The team enters the project with a ready process map, so the first weeks go on work, not on surveying the terrain.
- The audit documents keep working. The process map and the fit-gap result feed straight into the implementation, without repeating the same analysis.
Products that help us drive change
We audit the finance and operations applications, that is, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, as well as the other products in the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform family. In the recommendation we indicate the path, that is, a fresh implementation, a migration, or an upgrade, and the option, that is, cloud or on-premises. We also give an initial license selection.

Proven performance, reliable results
- The audit takes weeks, not months. It is meant to unblock your decision, not become a separate project with its own schedule.
- We talk to a few people, not the whole company. We run workshops with people who know the processes operationally, and leave the rest of the team to their current work.
- We write a document you can read and use. Instead of a description of the current state, you get a recommendation, a budget range, and an indication of what to do first.
- You pay for the same analysis once. If the implementation goes on with us, the audit material feeds into the project, instead of landing in an archive.

Why entrust the audit to us
- We specialise in Dynamics 365. We know what this system will handle as standard and what it will not handle without extensions, and we say it before the project, not during it.
- We recommend, we do not sell. We point to the path we consider best, even when it means a smaller scope or postponing the decision.
- We know projects that had to be rescued. We have run implementations and project recovery, so we know at which points ERP projects fail most often. The audit checks exactly those points.
- We work in Poland and the United Kingdom. We handle Polish compliance, including KSeF and JPK, and at the same time run implementations spanning multiple countries.
- We work using a methodology based on Success by Design. It is the framework Microsoft developed on the basis of its own Dynamics 365 implementations.
From the initial consultation to a fully operational system
Switching systems doesn't have to mean chaos. We guide you through five steps so that at every stage, it’s clear what is happening, why, and what the next step will be.
Discovery call
Free consultation: we learn about your situation, goals, and constraints. No strings attached and no sales pitch.
Analysis and recommendation
We map processes and requirements, assess platform fit, and recommend the scope, path, and approach.
Plan and decision
Schedule, budget, roles, and decision gates. You make project decisions based on facts, not assumptions.
Phased implementation
We implement step-by-step, with testing, risk control, and reviews at every milestone.
Stabilization and support
Launch with a contingency plan, post-launch support, and transition to ongoing maintenance.

An ERP decision on facts, not assumptions
We start with a process map, go through fit-gap, and finish with a recommendation: what to implement, at what cost, and with what risk. The report is independent, so you can use it with us or without us.

What you get at the end of the audit
The audit ends with material on the basis of which you make a decision and judge the implementation offer, relying on your own findings.
A map of processes and requirements
An organised picture of what the system is to handle, written down in one place.
Fit-gap analysis
A list of the areas where the standard is enough and those that need extensions, integrations, or ready-made solutions.
A solution recommendation
We point to the product, the path, and the deployment option, and give an initial license selection.
An effort estimate and budget range
The scale of the project and the schedule calculated before the decision, not assumed up front.
A risk register with recommendations
For each risk we show how to reduce it and when that needs doing.
A plan of next steps
Phasing and priorities, arranged so the implementation can start straight from this document.

Frequently asked questions about the pre-implementation audit
How does a pre-implementation audit differ from an audit of a running Dynamics 365 environment?
We run a pre-implementation audit before an implementation or migration, when the system does not yet exist. An audit of a running environment assesses a system that is already in operation: its health and opportunities for optimisation.
How long does the audit take, and how much does it involve our team?
The audit takes weeks, not months. We run workshops with the people who know the processes operationally, and leave the rest of the team on their day-to-day work. The audit is meant to unblock your decision, not become a separate project.
Does the audit commit us to implementing with ANEGIS?
No. The report is independent, and you can use it however you see fit, including in conversations with other vendors.
What if the recommendation is ‚not yet”?
That happens too, and when it does, that is exactly what we write. It is better to pause or narrow a project based on analysis than to discover mid-implementation that the scope was too broad.
Does the audit result speed up the later implementation?
Yes. The process map, fit-gap analysis, and plan of next steps feed directly into the project, so you pay for that analysis only once.
