BUUK Infrastructure is the largest independent provider of last-mile network infrastructure in the United Kingdom. The company manages more than 30,000 networks, serving over a million households with electricity, gas, water, heat, sewerage, and fibre.
Project Description
The project covered the migration of the Microsoft Dynamics AX system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 in the cloud. The implementation improved project, finance, purchasing, sales, and master-data management processes. Workflows, integrations with external systems, and mechanisms feeding a data warehouse for BI reporting were also implemented.
Challenge
The existing Microsoft Dynamics AX system needed modernisation because vendor support was ending and there were many custom modifications. The aim of the project was to move to a modern cloud solution, simplify business processes, and increase the organisation's security and performance.
Solution
ANEGIS carried out the migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365, replacing custom functionality with the system's standard solutions. The project covered data migration, the implementation of workflow processes, integrations with BUUK systems, and a Data Management Framework enabling effective data management and reporting.
