About the service
The Dynamics 365 standard rarely covers all your processes, and whether the system stays flexible or turns into technical debt is decided by how you extend it.
We extend Dynamics 365 in the right model, in this order: configuration, low code in Power Platform, X++ extensions, and finally AI and agents. We always reach for the lightest possible approach, without touching the standard code. This keeps the functionality tailored to you, while One Version updates still come through without risk.
The problem is not that the standard does not cover everything, but how it is extended.
The risk lies not in extending itself, but in how it is done. The wrong model turns tailoring into technical debt that surfaces with every update.
- Old-style modifications fail at updates. Over-layering, that is, overwriting the standard code, means every One Version wave risks regression and raises maintenance cost.
- Code where configuration would do. Extensions written for needs that Power Platform closes raise build and maintenance cost.
- Extensions detached from the platform. Functions built without a shared data layer copy data and multiply integrations.
- Shadow IT and scattered solutions. Applications and automations created without governance are hard to maintain, secure, and develop.
- Functionality without an owner. Extensions without documentation and version control become a risk when the team or the system version changes.
- Untapped AI potential. Processes that could be improved with Copilot or a custom agent still run by hand.

From gap analysis to a durable extension, in the right model
Gap analysis (fit-gap) and model choice
What configuration, low-code, X++, or a ready-made solution closes, with a recommendation for the option cheapest to maintain.
Low-code extensions
Apps in Power Apps, automations in Power Automate, and reports on Dynamics 365 data, embedded in the interface.
X++ extensions (pro-code)
Deep logic in the extension model (Chain of Command, event handlers), without over-layering and under version control.
Shared data layer
Virtual entities, dual-write, and business events, so extensions use data at the source instead of copying it.
AI extensions
Copilot, AI Builder, and custom agents (Copilot Studio) embedded in Dynamics 365 processes.
Governance and maintainability
Documentation, version control, environments, and a shared build standard.
Validation at updates
Extensions designed and tested to pass successive One Version waves without regressions.

What a well-run extension delivers
- A system tailored to your processes. The standard does not force you to work only the way it foresees, because we tailor the system to how you work.
- Updates without risk. Extensions in the extensions model come through each One Version wave without regression.
- Lower maintenance cost. The lightest possible model means a minimal footprint in the code and less work at every update.
- Less data copying and fewer integrations. Extensions use the shared data layer, not duplicates.
- Durability and continuity. Documentation, version control, and a shared standard mean the solutions do not depend on changes in the team.
- AI where it adds value. Copilot, AI Builder, and agents embedded in Dynamics 365 processes.
Products that help us drive change
We extend the finance and operations applications, that is, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, and build on Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, with AI in Copilot Studio and AI Builder. Some needs are covered by ready-made, maintained ANEGIS solutions, including AWM, AMOS, ADF, and AGA.

Proven performance, reliable results
- The principle: configuration first, then low code, code last. We reach for the lightest option, and write full code only where it genuinely adds value.
- Extensions, not over-layering. We build without touching the standard code, under version control in Azure DevOps.
- Durability from the start. We introduce documentation, environments, and a shared build standard during the project, not after it.
- Reviews at each wave. We test extensions for compatibility with every update.

Why entrust the extensions to us
- We specialise in Dynamics 365. We know the extension model in finance and operations and Power Platform from the inside.
- The lightest possible model. We reach for configuration and low code before full code, and do not touch the standard through over-layering.
- Experience with AX and project recovery. We know how outdated modifications burden updates, because we have fixed their consequences.
- Our own solutions. AWM, AMOS, ADF, and AGA instead of building from scratch.
- We work in Poland and the United Kingdom. We handle Polish compliance (KSeF, JPK) and environments spanning multiple countries.

Tailoring without technical debt
We extend Dynamics 365 the lightest possible way, from configuration to custom AI agents, in a model that comes through each update without regression. We start with a fit-gap: we establish what the standard will close and what needs an extension.

From configuration to a custom agent, always the lightest way
Not every need requires code. We choose the option that is cheapest to maintain, in order from the simplest.
Configuration and custom fields (no-code)
where a setting or an extra field closes the need, with no developer.
Low-code (Power Platform)
Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI on Dynamics 365 data; the first choice for new screens and automation.
X++ extensions (pro-code)
when deep logic is needed in the core of the processes; in the extension model, not through over-layering.
AI and agents
Copilot, AI Builder, and custom agents (Copilot Studio) where automation or working in natural language adds value.
Ready-made ANEGIS or ISV solutions
when a proven off-the-shelf solution covers the need, instead of building from scratch.
What we do not do: over-layering
we do not touch the standard code. Old-style modifications are technical debt that wrecks every update.

Frequently asked questions about Dynamics 365 functional extensions
Will extensions survive updates?
Yes, if they are built in the extensions model rather than through over-layering. We build exclusively in the extension model, so successive One Version waves land without regressions.
Do we have to write everything in X++?
No. First we check what configuration and low-code in Power Platform can cover; we use X++ code where deep logic in the core of a process is needed. The lightest model is the cheapest to maintain.
Is it better to build an extension or buy a ready-made one?
When a proven, maintained ANEGIS or ISV solution covers the need, it is usually cheaper and safer to use it than to build from scratch. We give our recommendation after a fit-gap analysis.
Can we develop extensions with our own team?
Yes. We work in a fusion model, together with your citizen developers, and we support the team in a staff augmentation model, setting the standard and governance so that development stays maintainable.
How do we add AI to Dynamics 365?
Through Power Platform: Copilot, AI Builder, and custom agents (Copilot Studio), embedded in Dynamics 365 processes and running on your data.
